As I write this blog Allergy Awareness week 2015 is coming to an end, Allergy UK have shared some interesting statistics. You can view their infographic here but the highlights for me are that almost half of adults don’t know what anaphylaxis is and 66% don’t know how to help someone suffering an allergic reaction. So how do you recognise it and what do you need to do?
The Dentistry Show 2015 – Great Day!
I went to the Dentistry Show yesterday and I had a great day.
My day started by meeting an old friend which was lovely.
I then went to get a feel for the theatre where I was presenting and to meet my theatre manager and sound engineer.

I am happy to announce that I will be at the Dentistry show on the 17th April to present 2 sessions on ‘Medial Emergencies in the Dental Practice’. The content will be based on the content of my Medical Emergencies course.
Social Media Academy
Over the last 3 weeks I’ve been attending a Social Media Academy course with the eBusiness Club in Derbyshire. The training is aimed at small and medium businesses looking to improve on their social media strategy. This has been a great course, I’ve never been disappointed by an eBusiness Club course and they have a good range available.
As many of my customers are themselves small businesses I thought I would share some of the key points that I’ve taken away.
First Aid for Fits
Witnessing a fit can be a frightening experience, especially if you’ve never seen one before. There are different types of fits but the one we tend to think about is the ‘tonic-clonic’ type where the person collapses to the floor and shakes or jerks uncontrollably. Let’s look at what you can do.
