What is the Value in a Business?

I’ve been considering what is the value in a business recently.  I realised for me the value is my customers, not in a simplistic way but in true gratitude.  I’m grateful that you choose me to provide your training and that you’re willing to rely on me.  So I wanted to use my blog this week to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to you too.  Just as I sat down to write this blog I received the following email:-

Hi Helen

Thank you so much for the training on Tuesday. For the first time since attending medical emergency training sessions, I feel that I would cope if I found myself in an emergency situation.

Thanks again for an amazing morning

Regards

Kim

It is lovely to receive such comments and we all like to be thanked and recognised.  So I’m taking this opportunity to thank you all and remind you that I’m here for you all year.  I’m available to answer your queries and if you have new starters who need a quick update, because your planned session is too far in advance, then remember I will come and do that for you.

The Resuscitation Council recently published the new Quality Standards for Community Hospitals.  In the section on training and Resuscitation Officers (RO) they still say that you should not be training anymore than 50% of your time.  This is because they too recognise the value in everything else that an RO does.  Here lies what is the value in business for me – it’s the customer relationship, looking after my practices and that you all know you can depend on me.

So one last big ‘Thank You’ to you all for your custom.
